Exploring the Future Society Shaped by “Real” Technology at the Expo 2025

ICF is expanding beyond traditional societal-challenge initiatives to focus on tech-driven solutions.
In July 2025, we visited the Expo site in Osaka, Kansai, to see the latest innovations firsthand.
Among them, we were particularly impressed by technologies that don’t just exist in digital space, but act directly in the real world-what we call “Real” Technology.
We highlighted these innovations, their impact at the Expo, and the future society they could help shape in a two-part column:
– Part 1: Exploring the Current State of “Real” Technology at the Expo 2025
