ICF Startup Showcase 2023 (December 8th)
The 2023The ICF Startup Showcase 2023 -Business Acceleration Program: Final Pitch Contest and Winners’ Pitches- was held on December 8. The event was a great success where seven finalists and eight special award winners delivered their pitches, followed by an overview of Korean startups provided by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), a booth exhibition, and a networking event.
In the final Pitch Contest between the finalists, five experts (including ICF advisors) and MRI’s jury rigorously screened each contender and selected winners, as shown in the article below:

ICF will continue to support the 15 award winners and others who applied for this program as potential co-creation partners in a variety of ways, with the intent to resolve societal issues and lead to greater societal impact. ICF members are also encouraged to contact the Secretariat if they know of or are connected to any interesting startups. ICF hopes to expand the circle of co-creation further.
Seminar on the Listings of Societal Issues (November 15th)
On November 15, the first session of the Seminar on the Listings of Societal Issues was held online, which provided an overview and highlights of Resolving Societal Issues Through Innovation―Listings of Societal Issues 2023. ICF wishes to thank the many members who joined the session.
The session began with highlights and updates of the Listings as a whole and continued with an explanation on the seven societal issues in the Wellness area, including lifestyle-related diseases, loneliness, and isolation. A Q&A session closed out the event.

Upcoming Activities(December – February)
Seminar on the Listings of Societal Issues (December 26th and after)
ICF released Resolving Societal Issues Through Innovation―Listings of Societal Issues 2023 in October and is holding a total of six sessions of the Seminar on the Listings of Societal Issues for ICF members to provide highlights and an overview of the Listings.
The third seminar on December 26 will cover the Education and Human Resource Development area. It will be held completely online, so everyone’s attendance is appreciated.
