Seminar on the Listings of Societal Issues (December 15th and 26th)
The second and third sessions of the Seminar on the Listings of Societal Issues were held to provide an overview and explain revisions in the Water & Food and Education & Human Resource Development areas of Resolving Societal Issues Through Innovation – Listings of Societal Issues 2023. ICF wishes to thank the many members who joined the sessions.
The second session began with an explanation of societal issues in the Water & Food area, followed by a presentation about dietary education by TOTO LTD., a Co-Creating Member, and a discussion among the attendants.
In the third session, an MRI researcher in charge of the Education & Human Resource Development area explained how to use the Listings to co-create a public-private partnership business. This was followed by a lecture by HERALBONY Co., Ltd, a Venture Member, about developing quality measures for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Upcoming Activities(January -March)
Seminar on the Listings of Societal Issue (January 26th and February 9th)
ICF has been holding Seminars on the Listings of Societal Issues for each of the six focus areas of Resolving Societal Issues Through Innovation – Listings of Societal Issues 2023, published in October.
The fourth session on January 26 and the fifth session on February 9 will cover the Energy & Environment area and the Mobility area, respectively. It will be held completely online.

MRI DEMODAY 2024（March 7th）
MRI DEMODAY, which was held for the first time last year, will be held again this year. This event will cover solutions to societal issues and the creation of societal impact, showcasing progress of the cases presented last year and the results of MRI’s co-creation efforts with startups.
Co-creation activities with BAP 2023 finalists will also be showcased. A keynote speech and panel discussion on the roles of startups in businesses to resolve societal issues and creation of impact after societal implementation are also scheduled.
Booths for startups will be set up outside the venue for networking with those who want to co-create businesses to resolve societal issues.
