Report on “Special Webinar: Societal Transformation Brought by XR (June26)”
We held this webinar as the kick-off event for a new business co creation activity, “Human Enhancement and Virtual Economy,” that is launched this year. Shun Kubota, CEO of Mogura Inc., which operates Mogura VR, Japan’s largest XR specialized media was invited to give a speech about the latest trends and key points in XR and metaverse and efforts toward societal implementation.

ICF Quarterly Report (April-June 2024) Published
A quarterly activity report summarizing our activities from April to June has been published. Before its public release, we are now pleased to share it with ICF members.

Upcoming Activities
“Platinum Career Award Ceremony and Memorial Symposium” will be held on July 31
At the award ceremony, organizers will present the history of the Platinum Career Award and the reasons for awards recipient companies. Mana Nakazora from BNP Paribas Securities (Japan) Limited, who is also active as a member of the Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy, will be invited to give a lecture titled “Current Situation of Human Capital from the Perspective of Credit and ESG and Proposals for the Future.”
In addition, Platinum Career Award judging committee members will have a panel discussion about “Platinum Careers in the Erage of Generative AI: How to Utilize Generative AI to Enhance Corporate Value.”

“ICF Social Implementation Research: Public Affairs (1)” to be held on August 2
As announced at the ICF General Meeting held in April, this year, ICF will focus on “public affairs (PA)” as one of the themes of its social implementation research.
As a first step, we will hold a kick-off event to deepen understanding of PA through an analysis of the major economic and fiscal policy recommendations released by the Cabinet Office of Japan in June.

Workshop on “Human Augmentation and Virtual Economy” to be held on September 5
The workshop is planned to explore useful business applications based on the knowledge and technology of the startups. (date and content TBA). After that, we will proceed with the realization of promising use cases and verification of the effects to examine the future business possibilities.
Schedule of this year’s MRI DEMO DAY and BAP
The next round of the Business Acceleration Program(BAP), which typically opens for applications in July, will be held at a different time in conjunction with the MRI DEMO DAY.
Co-creation activities with last year’s finalists (BAP 2023) are ongoing, and the next MRI DEMO DAY is scheduled to be held around January 2025, fully based on the outcomes of these co-creation activities. As a result, the next round of BAP will begin accepting applications around February to March next year.
