Third session of ICF Online Discussion: Nuclear fusion (Dec. 24, 2024)  

ICF held an online panel discussion on the latest information and business opportunities about nuclear fusion.

Fourth session of ICF Online Discussion : resolving societal issues through co-creation between corporations and NPOs (Jan. 30)  

We invited Mr. Fushimi, CEO / Founder of ICHI COMMONS Co., Ltd., which is engaged in activities to support mutual aid and co-creation for all people and organizations working to resolve societal issues, and Mr. Negishi, Chairman of the NPO Ibasho Chat.org , which takes measures against suicide and unwanted loneliness and isolation, to introduce their respective businesses and discuss the current status and challenges of collaboration between companies and NPOs, as well as the feasibility of the future.

Special webinar: Transforming Businesses with PhD talent-towards creating new value for enterprises (Jan. 17)  

ICF held a webinar presenting recent activities related to Ph.D. talents and inviting key figures from industry, government, and academia to discuss “Why companies and startups should utilize Ph.D. talents now” and “How companies can take the initial step”.
From various perspectives, the speakers talked about the need to make more use of Ph.D. talents for the growth of Japan and Japan companies.
A report and recorded video of the event will be available at a later date.

《Upcoming events open/scheduled for registration》  

Fifth session of ICF Online Discussion: Utilization of Robots (Feb. 27 and Feb. 28)  

An online discussion themed “Utilization of Robots” will be held on February 27 and 28.
In this project, we will focus on societal issues and their resolutions regarding “users who utilize robots”, which is often overlooked in discussions of such technical themes.
This time, we focus on the scenes of city planning and agriculture, which are the foundations of our lives.
For city planning, Mr. Izawa from HATAPRO, INC. will speak on February 27, and for “agriculture,” Mr. Hishiki from inaho Inc. will speak on February 28.
This talk event is designed for easy participation, just like listening to the radio, so we hope you’ll join us!

ICF General Assembly 2025 (Apr. 22)

The ICF General Assembly 2025 will be held at the start of the new fiscal year in April.
At the general meeting, we plan to explain the activity policies and plans for the new year and introduce the “Listings of Societal Issues 2025” (7th edition).
Details of the program will be announced soon.
Time and date: 3:30pm – 5pm on April 22, 2025
Venue: Online and the fourth floor of the headquarters of Mitsubishi Research Institute

Members-only site scheduled for release in March  

ICF will launch a member-only website (in Japanese) in March to provide access to archived videos and materials of past ICF activities.
We will inform you along with the login ID, password, etc. as soon as it is ready.

The Listings of Societal Issues 2025 (scheduled to be published on March 28)  

The Listings of Societal Issues 2025 is scheduled to be published on March 28. In addition to updating the contents of the six traditional categories, ICF is working on adding new areas such as “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I).”

According to Article 16 (Validity Period of Membership) of the Participation Rules of Initiative for Co-creating the Future, membership is automatically renewed.
