Carbon Credit Deep-Dive Workshop Reflection Discussion (Apr. 14)
As the final session of the Carbon Credit Deep-Dive Workshop (DDW), which was held three times last year, a reflection and review discussion was held at “0 Club,” an innovation hub operated by MITSUBISHI ESTATE CO., LTD.. On the day of the event, around 130 participants joined both in-person and online. The speakers noted that the carbon credit market is expected to see significant growth in the coming years. They emphasized the importance of steadily addressing related challenges with a long-term perspective. Furthermore, they highlighted that improving awareness, establishing rules, and expanding demand will require collaboration and co-creation across different sectors. Building a robust carbon credit ecosystem in Japan was also recognized as a key necessity.
ICF General Assembly 2025 (Apr. 22)
ICF General Assembly 2025 was held with around 160 participants joining in person and online, making the event a great success. Mr. Osaka, President & CEO of AIST Solutions Co., delivered the keynote speech titled “How to Approach Societal Issues from a Technological Perspective.” Additionally, we presented the activity policies and plans for the current fiscal year, introduced the creation process of the “Listings of Societal Issues 2025,” and hosted short pitches by new ICF members.

Upcoming Activities
Events addressing loneliness and isolation “Towards a Society Without Unwanted Loneliness” (May 28)
In conjunction with the “Strengthening Measures against Loneliness and Isolation Month” in May, we will hold a joint event with ICF supporting member, NPO Ibasho Chat,org. This event will focus on social isolation and loneliness among young people, introducing the current situation, case studies of efforts to solve the problem, and discussions by experts, with the aim of providing an opportunity to consider comprehensive and sustainable solutions to this problem as a personal matter.

Societal Issues Discussion (Jun. 26, Jun 27, Jul 3, and Jul 4)
